Mission to Mars Challenge Showcases STEM Success

Pupils demonstrated outstanding teamwork, creativity and engineering skills as they took part in an exciting Mission to Mars STEM Challenge.

Working in teams, the children were tasked with designing and building vehicles capable of travelling across a replica Mars landscape. Using Lego components and motorised technology, pupils applied their science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) knowledge to create stable and effective vehicles fit for the challenge.

Not only did the group successfully complete the activity, but they also achieved the fastest completion time of all participating teams, a fantastic accomplishment that highlighted their determination, problem-solving abilities and collaborative approach.

The challenge leader praised the pupils for their exceptional teamwork and positive attitude throughout the activity, commenting on how impressed they were by the group’s ability to work together and overcome the engineering task.

Experiences such as these provide valuable opportunities for pupils to develop key STEM skills while encouraging innovation, resilience and confidence. The Mission to Mars challenge proved to be an inspiring and memorable experience, demonstrating the talent and potential of our future engineers.
