Year 3 were treated to a very special visitor as part of their History topic on the Romans, creating an unforgettable learning experience for everyone involved.
The children stepped back in time as they discovered fascinating facts about Roman life, explored authentic Roman armour, and learned how Roman soldiers were trained. One of the highlights of the visit was practising Roman commands, which gave pupils a real sense of the discipline and routines that shaped daily life in Roman times.
Experiences like this truly bring history to life and extend learning beyond the classroom. Through hands on activities and active participation, Year 3 were fully immersed in their topic and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
It was a fantastic visit that helped make the past feel real, memorable, and exciting – a true highlight of their History learning journey.
