As part of the Great British Spring Clean with Keep Britain Tidy (13th–29th March 2026), our fantastic Year 6 pupils proudly took part in the Great Big School Clean!
After a quick safety briefing, Team Mowden headed out to give our school grounds a tidy-up. Even though the area looked fairly clean at first glance, the children were surprised by how much litter they managed to find hidden away!
The activity led to some brilliant discussions about how long different types of litter take to decompose, and most importantly what we can all do to help prevent littering in the first place.
We’re incredibly proud of our litter heroes, working together in the spring sunshine to make a positive difference to our school community.
