PE and Sport Premium

PE and Sports Premium

At Mowden, we are committed to providing high-quality, inclusive physical education and promoting healthy, active lifestyles for all pupils. The PE and Sport Premium funding enables us to enhance both the quality and breadth of our PE and sporting provision, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to participate and develop.

As a result, pupils develop fundamental skills, resilience, and confidence, alongside a growing enjoyment of sport and physical activity. Our inclusive approach reduces barriers to participation, ensuring pupils of all abilities and backgrounds can engage fully.

Pupils benefit from a broad range of sporting opportunities through both curriculum lessons and extra-curricular activities, which increase participation in physical activity beyond the school day. Opportunities to take part in local competitions and festivals further enrich pupils’ experiences, developing teamwork, leadership and social skills, while promoting positive attitudes towards physical activity.
